April 12, 2020
Meeting opened at 6:30pm with a prayer led by Vi Despres.
Recording Secretary – minutes were approved.
Corresponding Secretary – Joan Buck reported that birthday cards were being sent to Fr. Gerry and Fr. Gogin with $50 for each.
Treasurer – Cheryl Lastrina reported that we took in $835. Five hundred was a donantion from Helen's sister for us to purchase a new freezer and $335 for Helping Hands. We had $142 for misc expenses.
Helping Hands Report – Joyce Schmidt reported that the kitchen has been thoroughly cleaned. It took volunteers two days. There were no funerals this past month. Joyce requested that people using the kitchen check cabinets before bringing more food. We are ending up with too many duplicate items. Don’t buy until you check the cabinets and use whatever is there.
Outreach Report – Helen Limina reported that the Hunger Banquet was a success. “Nice crowd, very appreciative.” It was humbling for those who participated and was very meaningful. Gail noted that Prayer Shawls meet 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. We have sent some to Scott Farrar Home and will be sending some to Pheasant Wood Nursing Home. They have been greatly appreciated by recipients.
